Giovanni Battista (Giambattista) Velluti, (b Montolmo [now Corridonia], Ancona, Jan 28, 1780; d Sambruson di Dolo, Venice, Jan 22, 1861) was an Italian soprano castrato. The last of the great operatic castrati, Velluti was without a rival for the last
