The London Morning Advertiser for 19 March 1870 carried a notice that Mr Bullock would sell by auction on the premises of 375 Euston Road "a portion of the stock of the late firm Austin, Seeley & Co." By 6 April 1870 a new firm calling itself Austin and Seeley advertised the sale at 369-375 Euston Road of "the remaining stock of the late firm, 'Austin, Seeley and Co', at a considerable abatement of price." New stock in preparation was announced at the same time.
