Thomas Thompson, 1777-1834, was an organist of St. Nicholas' Church, Newcastle upon Tyne, composer of songs, duets and airs with variations.

Most of the scores in the Miss Margaret Hazlitt volume of music have watermarks in the paper dating from 1811-1817. It is probable that the scores were published between 1811 and 1822. Margaret Hazlitt also wrote her name and 1817 on a number of scores in this volume.
