Description:
Mary Susan Thorburn (1850-1927) was the eldest daughter of Jessie Catherine Thorburn, nee McKenzie, (1824-1916) and her husband Robert Thorburn (1820-1869), born at Numba in the Shoalhaven district of New South Wales. In 1868 Mary Susan married Roderick Macgregor, a schoolteacher who had emigrated from Scotland in 1860. They lived with their family of eight children at Torrisdale at the foot of Mt Cambewarra in the Shoalhaven district of New South Wales.
