Description:
Robert Bruce Stafford was the eldest and only surviving child of Margaret Hannah Stafford (nee Thorburn) and her husband Thomas Stafford. He went to live with his unmarried Thorburn aunts and his grandmother Mrs Jessie Catherine Thorburn at Meroogal, Nowra, following his mother's death in 1886.
