Description:
Llanthony in Cambewarra is a house designed by Kenneth McKenzie (c1835-1922) for his sister Georgina and her husband Samuel Matthews, the Cambewarra storekeeper. Llanthony is [like Meroogal in Nowra, another house designed by Kenneth McKenzie] a two-story timber house, with picturesque gables and bargeboards and a decorative Gothic bay window.
The man in the bowler hat is probably Kenneth McKenzie's brother-in-law Robert Taylor Thorburn and the older man wearing a smoking cap and leaning on a stick may be Thomas McKenzie (c1794-1892), father of Kenneth McKenzie.
