Description:
The photograph was published in The Tatler & Bystander, one of London's premier society magazines, as part of a two-page photo-spread on the match. Senior British army officer Field Marshal Bernard Law Montgomery, later Commander-in-Chief of the British Army of the Rhine (BAOR) in Germany, was also present at the match with his son David, then a student at Winchester with Leslie Walford.
