This photograph is one item within a Rouse family album containing 109 carte-de-visite and cabinet photographs. This portrait depicts Nina Beatrice Rouse, the elder of the two daughters of Edwin Stephen Rouse and his wife Bessie, nee Buchanan, born on 25 January 1875 at Lara, the Darlinghurst home of her Buchanan grandparents.
