Description:
In December 1910 a carnival held at the Hawkesbury Showground ( the Hawkesbury Racecourse) at Clarendon, featured a series of novelty events, one of which was a pony contest in which each rider had to wear lady's hat.
A second copy of this image, framed at D Bernard's fine art gallery at 430 George Street, Sydney, also exists in the Rouse Hill House collection.
