Geoffrey Rouse Terry was the eldest son of George and Nina (nee Rouse) Terry. He enlisted for service in World War I in England, as a second Lieutenant in the Northumberland Hussars and later in the Royal Flying Corps, returning to Australia in 1923.
The silhouette artist Handrup was a Danish-born silhouettist who lived in London between the wars, operating a Silhouette Parlour at D.H.Evans in Oxford Street.
