Description:
The gates shown in this photograph were originallly located at the entrance to the drive near Nielsen Park leading to Vaucluse House. In 1914 they were removed and re-erected in their present position in Wentworth Road near Olola Avenue. The sign on the gate reads: Vaucluse House / Historic home of / William Charles Wentworth / Admission to house / Adults 1/- Children 3d.
