The group portrait of the Terry boys is taken outside the Terry family home, Box Hill House, alongside a garden bed in front of the brick verandah foundations. Roderick Terry, second eldest of the boys, is on the left of the image,sitting on an upended log. The eldest of the brothers, Geoffrey is second from the left, seated in a cane chair. Edwin, the third born, is also seated in a cane chair on the right of the image. Gerald, the youngest of the boys, is seated on two fringed hearth rugs with a toy sheep on wheels and a small toy cart.
Noel Terry, the youngest of Nina and George's children, was not born until 1908.
