This photograph printed as a postcard is addressed to 'Miss K.B. Rouse / care of Mrs Campbell / Charing / Kent / England' and carries the message 'Thank you for the last p.c. you sent me. I will try to write to you a letter next week. Do you know what this picture is. / With love from Geoffrey'.
Geoffrey is Geoffrey Rouse Terry (1896-1970) eldest son of George Terry and his wife Nina, nee Rouse, the owners of Box Hill. The card is addressed to his aunt Kathleen Buchanan Rouse (1878-1932) who spent 18 months in England in 1908-1909, staying for some time with her aunt Lizzie Campbell in Charing, Kent.
The man visible in the photograph may be George Terry.
