Description:
Don Barnet, Tom Thorburn and Bert Dick became friends while students at St Andrew's College, University of Sydney, in the 1880s and they were regular visitors in the 1890s to Meroogal, the McKenzie/Thornburn family home in Nowra. Bert was a lifelong friend of Tom Thorburn's youngest sister Kennina (Tottie) Thorburn while Don married Thorburn's niece, Jessie Catherine Macgregor (1869-1946) in 1894. Like Tom Thorburn, Barnet was a minister of the Presbyterian Church.
