Description:
In May 1899 the Sydney Morning Herald reported the drowning death of "well-known resident of Parramatta, Mr George Harrison, carrier, who has vans running from Sydney to Parramatta." At the inquest into Harrison's death, the government medical officer for Parramatta described the deceased as "a stoutly-built man of short stature, and about 60 years of age". Amy Harrison stated that her father was a native of Pennant Hills and that he left a widow and 8 children. The man standing on the footpath near the corner of the house may be George Harrison. Others in the photograph are likely to be members of the Harrison family.
