Description: Other photographs in this series show the same scene but with the bloodstained pillow covering the victim's head and torso, and the blinds drawn. A small US flag can be seen above the mantelpiece. The US True Confessions magazine on the armchair (the lead story of which is 'I was the town's bad girl') would not have been normally available in wartime Sydney.
