Dunmore House (Largs, N.S.W.)
Dunmore House was built on a hill overlooking a lagoon and the Paterson River at Largs in the Hunter River district of New South Wales between 1828 and 1834 by a builder named Andrew Lang and his father William Lang, also a builder and joiner. The noted Presbyterian educator and politician Dr John Dunmore Lang was another son. [ref: Cynthia Hunter 'Maitland architecture: 19 decades of residential design', Maitland City Council, 2008.]
