Description:
The photographer, A E Foster, lived in Victoria Road Gladesville and worked in the district from around 1916 until the 1940s, recording a number of newly-built federation style houses and occasionally photographing other dwellings. In the 1920s he worked as a photographer for the Sydney Mail and is also known to have worked for the Water Board and the railways. This photograph has been attributed to Foster based on provenance.
