Description:
The raised lawn around the old eucalyptus tree, in the foreground of this photograph, was used for sunbaking according to an article in The Home, December 1938 pp.42-43. The pool beyond the raised lawn was described as a swimming pool in Nora Cooper "Everglades, the lovely home at Leura, N.S.W. of Mr & Mrs H. Van de Velde" in Australian Home Beautiful April 1938, pp.29-34, 56-57.
