Emma Bisdee album
This sketch is contained within an album/scrapbook including autographs; verse; pencil, ink and watercolour sketches; small scraps of engraved print material; and a few albumen photographs. The contributions have been made in several hands and those dated range from September 1839 to December 1870. The scrapbook belonged originally to Emma Bisdee and was begun in April 1838. It was later in the possession of Rosalie Thorne (1850-1927) whose mother was Elizabeth Ann Bisdee (1821-1910). It is presumed that the Emma Bisdee of this album was Elizabeth Ann Thorne's sister Emma, born in Hobart in 1830 and died in Hobart in 1841.
Estate of Rosalie Ann Watkins, nee Thorne, (1850-1927) of Penrose, Marsden Street Parramatta; Estate of Gertrude Mary Lethbridge Watkins (1874-1962) of Parramatta; Kenneth Stewart, Sydney antiquarian bookseller.
