Dora Walford (nee Alexander), married Eric Charles Phillip Sheller in a Hobart registry office on 22 February 1929. The marriage was not made public until November 1929 when the couple sailed for England, with Dora's young son Leslie Walford. Dora and Eric were presented at court at Buckingham Palace on the 10 July 1930. It was the fifth Court of the season.The Times described Dora's costume as: a gown of white chiffon with a train of white ring velvet lined with green chiffon and made by Victoire Ltd of 30 Sloane Street.
