The "Jewboy" gang was one of the last and most colourful bushranger gangs of the convict era. In the last three months of 1840 they ranged from Wyong through all parts of the Lake Macquarie district, to the outskirts of Newcastle and the Hunter region
from Dungog to Murrurundi. They were noted for dressing in the finest clothing they could steal and wearing jewellery, expensive watches and ribbons. They invaded homes and every isolated settler in the area was afraid of a raid. This book aims to tell the story of each member of the gang and show their place in the history of the Hunter region.
