This carte-de-visite portrait depicts Kathleen Buchanan Rouse, the younger of the two daughters of Edwin Stephen Rouse and his wife Bessie, nee Buchanan. It is one of five small photographs mounted in a single frame, including another photograph of Kathleen, a photograph of Kathleen's sister Nina and two photographs of Kathleen and Nina together.
